Discover and Create during Teen Tech Week at CPL

We're thrilled to celebrate Teen Tech Week March 9-15 at CPL locations across the city. This year’s theme is “DIY at Your Library!”

Check our events calendar to get the schedule for programs like:

  • making electronic cuff bracelets that light up
  • virtual robot programming with Java
  • discussions about books made into movies
  • critiquing and creating video games
  • beatmaking
  • 3D printing with Best Buy’s Geek Squad Agents

Interested in getting techy at home? We recommend Tellagami for app-solute fun! With this fun free app, you can personalize an avatar, customize a setting and type your own text to create a short message or tutorial. Check out these examples made by CPL librarians:

If you create something about CPL, we'll be certain to feature a link on our Tumblr!

Not interested in creating, but looking for online content? Then download a free magazine through Zinio or check out the latest teen fiction eBooks and eAudiobooks from OverDrive. Or listen to something from the OverDrive music collection or try learning a new language with Mango Languages.

Teen Tech Week is an annual initiative supported by the Young Adult Services Association through American Library Association, and is intended to excite teens about connecting to technology and exploring non-print resources available at the library.
